About Zika

Mosquito Control In Merrimack Valley

There is no question that the Zika virus is an emergency. It’s why our government has been tracking it since the outbreak first surfaced in Brazil, and it’s why the President asked Congress to join him in his efforts to combat the spread of the virus since 2015.

Last year there were almost 4,000 Americans with confirmed cases of Zika. More than 500 pregnant women had evidence of being infected, and those are just the confirmed cases.

As the climate continues to warm seasonally, the migration of the yellow fever mosquito, which carries the Zika Virus, continues to spread upwards from Florida into the humid subtropical United States (New England to Texas). This includes North Shore Massachusetts and New Hampshire and the risk is real. It doesn’t mean that you need to sit inside and be afraid, but it does mean that you need to be aware of mosquitoes and try to avoid them as best as you can. Controlling them through our barrier spay systems insures that your property will have significantly reduced risk to this now-present dangerous species as well as the other present, pesky nuisance species.
